XPI on FATS/3 list for Synthetic Environments and Advanced Software Development
XPI Simulation Ltd has been successful in becoming a participating contractor in the MoD
Multi-Participant Framework Agreement for Technical Support - FATS/3 contract.
FATS provides MOD clients, Government departments and public bodies with a faster and easier method of procuring specialist capabilities from suppliers. Contracts placed under FATS/3 remove much of the workload from the by offering pre-agreed rates and contract terms. Individual tasks do not need to be advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) as FATS was advertised at the outset at Framework level in the OJEU.
XPI’s area of expertise is in advanced real time programming and database techniques for use in synthetic environments. Its selection was based on previous successful research projects undertaken on behalf of the MoD. Projects such as SNERT (Real time implementation of ray-tracing techniques) and SEREX (Establishing the requirements for a standard, reusable database-repository).
XPI Simulation is a participating Contractor under FATS/3 to provide support services under the following areas of capability:
