Many drivers still believe that they can drive safely while reading and writing text messages. XPI Simulation has launched a new software module which measures how SMS-text distractions affect your driving.
The software is an add-on for XPI's popular range of XPDS road safety driving simulators. It works by assessing your driving ability under normal driving conditions then repeats the route whilst asking questions by text message. The results compare your driving skills with and without distractions.
Alan Davenport, XPI's marketing director said "The results speak for themselves. The simulator proves that it is almost impossible to control the car well whilst concentrating on the mobile phone."
